On 1962 Robert Whitehead and Elia
Kazan, co-producers for the Repertory Theater, had outlined plans for
thirty-member company of performers.
Robert Lewis was appointed head of their actor's training program and,
at the suggestion of Kazan, Anna Sokolow was recruited to work with
Lewis
as instructor in body movement.
