In 1966 Jerome Robbins receievd a National Endowment for the arts'
grant
to create what became The American Theatre Lab.
This project took the form of an unending rehearsal.
Anna Sokolow taught in this lab and among of her students was
Gerome Ragni who had later suggest Anna to
choreograph
"Hair".
